Our chapter is committed to philanthropy and community service. Delta Chi's international Philanthropy is The V Foundation for Cancer Research.  The V Foundation is named for legendary NC State basketball coach Jimmy Valvano, an ESPY award winning coach who died of cancer in 1993. The V Foundation supports research in all cancers and raises awareness for the prevalence of cancer.  Our chapter supports the V Foundation each year with an annual event to raise money and awareness for the Cancer Research. Our past events include a golf tournament, where parents, friends, and alumni have a fun day of golf and generously donate towards cancer research, as well as a Basketball tournament. This year we will be holding the first ever Jimmy V week at Mason. For more information and to find out how you can participate or become involved in this amazing week long event, please contact Robbie Pullen.

We also serve our local community by volunteering at nursing homes, participating in campus clean-ups, helping the USO, and many other outreaches.  If you are interested in learning more about our community service efforts, or if you have an event that you would like Delta Chi to help you with, please contact our Community Service Chairman, Erik Spear, or our Philanthropy Chairman, Rittik Guha.
